Lavender Syrup?

Yes, lavender syrup. I picked the flowers/seeds last summer from the flower garden in front of the Inn and have been making a simple syrup to be poured over your raspberry french toast or blueberry pancakes. Your taste buds will be delighted and so will your tummy...yummy.

It Can't be OVER!!!

Well, it is not. There is so much to do here in August...and only 30 days left to do it.

We are so excited . Our GARDENS received a Glorious Gardens award for 2013. Would you agree?

We ventured out into the tourist mass last night and found a seat at a new favorite. The Taste restaurant was delightful and the food made me hum during each bite. Jerry made noises too!!! Can't wait to go back.

As for the Inn, we are trying some new recipes and using our guest as taste testers. We have an Alfredo Strata that is looking like its gonna make the recipe books.

Just a simple Hello

Wondering what is going on in the world and thought I would add my 2 cents. I am waiting for my first Robin to begin singing. The earliest I have heard them is March 1, so I haven't beat that record this year. How about you? We are almost done with winter but anticipate at least one more really GOOD snowfall.  Fireplaces are on in the rooms, so come and sit a spell.

South Haven Blueberry Festival 2012

Every year we have purple teeth, tongues, and fingers around here because we love eating our blueberries. At the Inn we bake our French Toast with blueberries and cream cheese, our breakfast  fruit is often our wonderful blueberry parfait with home made granola, and we add blueberries to our yummy basil lemonade chilling in the Pub frig. Help yourself!

Gardens Galore

I should have taken this before the rain storm but you can see that my Shasta's are almost as tall as I am. It has been hot for South Haven but my gardens have been loving the weather, as have all the guests. Breakfast this morning in the gazebo behind me. It was delightful.
