Fall Foliage Tour, Michigan Foliage

Calling all leaf peepers: plan your fall foliage tour of Michigan foliage to include the South Haven area. Did you know that the Western part of our state has 26 Scenic Fall Foliage Driving Tours?

There are many ways to view the splendor of autumn’s pallet and Western Michigan travelers have an abundance of ways to enjoy the show - either by car, train, boat, bicycle, hot air balloon rides, at festivals, hiking, on golf courses and many historic highways.

Many of these “old roads” cut through great forests of hardwoods and pines and make perfect fall foliage tours with lots of color. And some of the roads are state-designated scenic routes that will wind you around lakes, rivers and waterfalls like the Upper Tahquamanon Falls pictured.

From 40 miles to 140 miles, there’s a day trip perfect for everyone. View this listing of 26 Scenic Driving Routes and print detailed directions for each.

Our South Haven Inn is a great place to make as a home base during your fall foliage travel of Western Michigan. Be sure your Fall foliage travel plans include a stay at Inn at the Park.

What to do this weekend? How about Heywood???

Heywood Banks is simply one-of-a-kind, almost impossible to describe, with a style his very own. Equal parts genius and buffoon, this songwriter-comic-singer-poet-musician has become a cult hero and a pop icon, with a show that appeals to college students, stoners, businessmen, yuppies, rednecks, punks, kids or your grandmother. Featured in Rolling Stone and People Magazines, Heywood has appeared on MTV, A&E, CNN, Entertainment Tonight, and the Bob & Tom in the Morning syndicated radio show.

Come see Heywood perform at Foundry Hall Saturday and then visit with him in our breakfast room on Sunday morning here at Inn at the Park B&B. Its like a private back-stage pass.
