Traverse City Channel 9&10
We're in the news along with our Friends Good Will tall ship across the street. News Channel 9&10 from Traverse City, MI doing a segment on fun places to visit and they landed at the dock across the street... and laid their heads on our pillows.
We made them a great breakfast and served it ON the dock at the Michigan Maritime Museum. Alex, the reporter, couldn't wait to dive into our French Toast breakfast. I think we should start serving dockside all the time...upon request. Wouldn't that be another great reason to come to town!

International Women's Day IWD
I celebrate this every day but today its official.There are 10 ways I have been advised by the Washington Post to celebrate IWD but my favorite is to wear RED lipstick.
Twice a year we open the doors at our Inn to a breast cancer survivors retreat and they will be arriving later today. What a wonderful way to celebrate women who are strong, inspiring, and SURVIVING!!!

Winter Wonderland
Its actually snowing here. We thought it would be a good idea to make that request since my daffodils have started popping up and my chickadees are singing their Spring song a bit early. We are getting ready for the 2012 season and maybe it will start early this year. We have some great new breakfast recipes that we have been working on in the test kitchen and we are all still alive!!!..in fact, with maybe a few extra pounds. Here is an inside view of our latest souffle, we do souffles often here, and it is topped with fresh tomatoes, avocado and hollandiase. I love it when we make too much. We all get to have some in the kitchen.
